Digital literacy programmes have emerged as critical components in addressing the digital divide among urban informal settlement residents of South Africa. A structured questionnaire was utilised, administered through online platforms, targeting a diverse sample of urban informal settlement residents across South Africa. The analysis revealed that while over 70% of participants reported improved computer and internet skills, the sustainability of learning outcomes remains a significant challenge. Despite initial improvements, there is a need for sustained support to ensure long-term benefits from these programmes. Investment in infrastructure, continuous training, and community engagement are recommended to enhance programme effectiveness.
