The article substantiates Russia’s strategic transition from the raw materials export model around natural gas exports to an integrated model combining energetic materials with advanced Russian-developed technologies for their use. This approach is considered as a key element of the policy of export into countries of the Global South, which are projected to experience an accelerated growth of gas demand. As a strategy for strengthening market positions and diversifying income streams, it is proposed to promote Russian gas technologies, from gas reciprocating units and gas turbine units to gas supply systems and innovative gas air conditioners. This strategy would provide Russia with an opportunity to not only compensate for the relatively low marginality of gas supplies, but also strengthen its technological sovereignty, transforming its role in the global market from a supplier of raw materials to a provider of integrated energy solutions.
