Οverall, this thesis explores the facility location problem with a focus on the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) as a decision-making tool in supply chain and logistics management. Ιt reviews theoretical foundations, types and characteristics of location problems, and highlights how ahp integrates both qualitative and quantitative factors to evaluate multiple alternatives. the case study of omonia trans, a greek transport company, demonstrates the practical application of ahp in selecting the most suitable warehouse location in Τhessaloniki by analyzing criteria such as handling costs, delivery performance, proximity to clients and suppliers, and infrastructure availability. the findings confirm that ahp provides a structured, reliable and adaptable framework for optimizing facility location decisions in complex logistics environments.
