This study explores the historical roots of governance challenges in Senegal, focusing on African Studies. A qualitative comparative approach will be employed, drawing from archival research and secondary data sources. Historical colonial legacies have significantly influenced contemporary governance patterns in Senegal, with a notable legacy of bureaucratic inefficiencies stemming from French administration. This study highlights the enduring impact of historical governance frameworks on current policy implementation in Senegal.
