The present document is Deliverable D5.7, “Report on the evaluation at an urban scale”, prepared within the e-SAFE project (Grant Agreement No. 893135), funded by the European Commission under its Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme (H2020).The document reports on the research activities carried out by UNIBO and UNICT about the potential application of the e-SAFE technologies, especially e-PANEL, e-CLT, e-EXOS, and e-THERM, at the urban scale. Considering the inherent technical limitations that do not allow the application of these technologies in every building, this Deliverable will try to assess the ratio of the building stock that can be renovated through the e-SAFE solutions and the consequent primary energy savings and decarbonisation potential. The study considers two cities, Catania and Athens, that belong to highly seismic zones and where the need for combined seismic-energy renovation is outstanding. Catania also hosts the e-SAFE pilot building, and here the study will mainly focus on the residential public housing stock.
