This article is the fourth in a series of research articles by Nina A. Stroganova, dedicated to the study of the work of Qin Jia , an Ancient Chinese poet of the 2nd century. Until now, his literary work has not become the focus of detailed analytical consideration either in Russian or international Sinology yet, which constitutes the novelty of this study. The subject of this article is the poetic cycle '(Liu Jun) Zeng Fu Shi (San Shou)' ()() by Qin Jia . The aim of the study is to identify various features of the implementation of the poetics of cycle in one of the first author’s poem cycles / poetic cycles, (family-)love poetic cycles, and epistolary poetic cycles in the history of Chinese literature. In writing this paper, we employed a range of general and specific research methods, emphasizing a comparative research approach. This allows us to make the results relevant not only to international Sinology, but also to world literature studies as a whole. The results of the work demonstrate the fact that already in the 2nd century the poetics of cycle (cycle as a poetic form) was already fully developed in China – we come to the conclusion that the poetic cycle, the (family-)love poetic cycle, the epistolary (family-)love poetic cycle, according to the totality of the parameters we have examined, was an established poetic form at the end of Chinese Antiquity. The relevance of this work lies primarily in the fact that both in Russian, Chinese, and international Sinology there is an acute shortage of researches on the topic of poetic cycles, as well as a clear absence of works devoted to Ancient Chinese epistolary poetic cycles. The results of this work can be used in writing and teaching courses on the theory and history of world literature, the theory and history of (Ancient) Chinese literature, and the theory of poetic cycle.
