Entrepreneurship Hubs in East Africa are increasingly recognised for their role in fostering innovation and economic development. In South Africa, these hubs have demonstrated significant potential to support local entrepreneurs and contribute to regional growth. The analysis is based on secondary data sources, including reports from relevant organizations, academic literature, and interviews with stakeholders involved in entrepreneurship support initiatives across East Africa. A notable finding is the significant increase (30%) in venture capital investments directed towards startups located within South African hubs over a two-year period. South African entrepreneurship hubs have emerged as crucial facilitators of innovation and growth, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To further support these ecosystems, there is a need for increased funding, collaboration between public and private sectors, and the implementation of policies that encourage foreign direct investment.
