This article analyzes childhood memories and their artistic as well as educational significance in the prose works of the People’s Writer of Uzbekistan, Shukur Kholmirzaev. In such stories and novellas as “Boychechak Ochildi”, “Qorbobo Keladi”, “Bahor”, “Qush Tili”, “Jo’raboshi”, “Nasib Etsa”, and “Quyoshku Falakda Kezib Yuribdi”, the writer reflects his childhood in Boysun, memories connected with nature, national games, traditions, and the child’s psychology. Through these elements, he expresses the values of purity, simplicity, love for nature, and adherence to traditions inherent in the Uzbek people. The study reveals the role of autobiographical elements in creating realism and folklorism. The findings confirm that Kholmirzaev’s childhood memories serve as an important source of national upbringing and identity preservation, and remain relevant in shaping the spirituality of youth in the period of independence.
