The article examines the problem of transparency of justice as a necessary condition for the existence of a genuine rule-of-law state. Various meanings of the concept of “justice” are analyzed in relation to the principle of the rule of law and the role of public oversight in ensuring trust in the judicial system. Special attention is paid to the correlation between transparency and publicity, their normative foundations, and their practical implementation in criminal procedure. The study highlights the importance of openness of judicial and pre-trial procedures for the protection of constitutional rights, as well as the need to maintain a balance between access to information and the safeguarding of other public-law values. Transparency of justice is presented not only as a procedural guarantee but also as an element of spiritual unity between the state and society.
