Stress is a normal reaction of the mind and body when faced with challenging situations. Too much stress may be the reason for problems both mentally and physically. This study explores the levels of stress among secondary school teachers in the rural areas of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The research paper focuses on depression, anxiety, and a sample of 100 teachers was selected. Their psychological conditions were measured using standardized tools. The paper also analyzes the impact of demographic variables such as academic qualifications, gender, and age. The study employs a descriptive survey method for data collection. The results of the study show that there is no significant difference in depression, anxiety, and stress levels among teachers across these demographic variables. The research paper highlights that professional stress is a wider concern among rural secondary school teachers.It emphasizes the necessity for mental health awareness, stress management strategies, and institutional support to improve teachers' well-being.
