No measurement of dephosphorylated-uncarboxylated Matrix Gla protein (dp-ucMGP), the functional biomarker of arterial vitamin K2 status, has ever been obtained in any South Asian person, in any country, in any clinical or research context. This paper proposes that this absence masks a unified explanatory mechanism: the mid-twentieth century elimination of fermentation-based food ecologies across populations with traditional pastoral food systems removed the primary dietary source of menaquinone (vitamin K2, MK-7) and lactic acid bacteria, whose cardiometabolic consequences follow a predictable generational lag. A five-link evidence chain connects this disruption to the South Asian cardiovascular anomaly; four links are confirmed in published literature. The framework generates three falsifiable predictions testable within existing cohort infrastructure, including a dp-ucMGP gradient across South Asian subregions, achievable in MASALA stored plasma at zero marginal data collection cost.
