Abstract

Scientific and Structured Presentation of Greek Counter-Claims against arbitrary Turkish claims (based on the Treaty of Lausanne of 1923, other international treaties and historical facts) The Treaty of Lausanne (24 July 1923) constitutes the foundation of the GrecoTurkish status quo in the Aegean, minorities, borders, religious freedoms, and respect for history and culture. Because Turkey has never respected and continues to strongly challenge this treaty, Greece should place on the table, in response to arbitrary and continuously newly invented Turkish demands, counter-claims based on violations of Lausanne by Turkey (Articles 12, 13, 14, 37–45), on unfulfilled compensation obligations, on violations of human rights, and on the right of lawful self-defence (UN Charter, Article 51). Systematic downplaying or omission of Greek (Ionian, Hellenistic, Byzantine) character of archaeological sites in Turkey, replaced by terms such as "Anatolian" or "Roman", is described as a policy of "Anatolianization" of history.
