Within tourism studies, interest in the relationship between tourism and art has grown, yet most research has approached art primarily as “object” or “content.” This short communication considers the potential of Arts-Based Research (ABR) as an emerging methodological and pedagogical approach in tourism. Drawing on applied artistic practices in both research and educational settings, the paper illustrates how ABR can reveal individuality, values, and introspective processes often overlooked by conventional methods, offering alternative ways of understanding tourism experiences.
