The aim of th e watching brief is to e sta blish the presence/absence of arch aeological structures or other significant feat ures within the wor ks area. Should a ny archaeological re sourc es be rev ealed their presence will be recorded and a decisio n made as to any mitigation measures . The arc hae olo gical watching brie f will be carried out to the standards laid down in the Chartere d Institute of Fi eld Archaeologists, Guideline for Watch ing B rie fs 201 4 (updated 2020 ) nstigated by a planning condition; an archaeological watching brief was conducted on a small area of a development site ; pre viously noted dur ing a topographic survey , a s an anomaly with potential for archaeological interest. The watching brief recorded a small area of riverine deposition of unknown purpose with modern inclusions but nothing of any archaeological importance. Copyright Notice: A.P.A.C.
