Ethnomathematics—defined as the study and application of mathematical ideas embedded within cultural practices—offers a theoretically grounded pedagogical framework. This review aimed to: (1) identify mathematical subject areas studied in relation to ethnomathematics pedagogy; (2) evaluate the effectiveness of ethnomathematics interventions on mathematical achievement; (3) examine geographic and cultural contexts of implementation; (4) analyze methodological characteristics of the literature; and (5) identify research gaps and future directions
