Abstract This article explores how the media in Dagbon is shaping a contemporary cultural renaissance by amplifying traditional values, fostering community pride, and driving socio-economic development. While Northern Ghana has historically received limited media attention, recent growth in local radio and television stations has elevated the visibility of Dagbon’s cultural heritage. The study draws on qualitative methods—including cyberethnography and key informant interviews—to examine how traditional elements such as music, fashion, oral storytelling, and festivals are being revived and reimagined through media platforms. Findings highlight that the media serves as a communication tool and a catalyst for cultural preservation, social unity, and economic opportunity in a rapidly modernised society.
