Abstract

CropWatch Bulletin, February 2026 (Volume 26, No.1) focuses on the global production situation of major staple grain and oil crops from November 2025 to January 2026, with particular emphasis on the current production status in the Southern Hemisphere. It conducts fine-scale remote sensing monitoring and validation of the planting area, yield, and total output of major staple grain and oil crops in 20 major producing countries, including the world's top 20 grain producers and the top 15 most populous nations. This report aims to comprehensively grasp the current status and future trends of global crop production during this monitoring period, offering a reference for related decision-making.
