Under the background of educational digital transformation, smart course development has become an important approach to promoting teaching reform in application-oriented courses. The course International Carriage of Goods features case-driven learning, rule-oriented content, and complex application scenarios, making traditional teaching methods insufficient for cultivating students’ comprehensive abilities. This study constructs a four-dimensional driven case-based teaching model characterized by smartization, scenario-based learning, rule orientation, and problem-based learning, supported by the Chaoxing Learning platform. A structured resource system consisting of a knowledge base, question bank, and scenario bank is developed to integrate teaching resources. In practice, artificial intelligence tools are used before class to help students understand complex cases and organize key knowledge points; during class, smart platform tools facilitate scenario-based interactive discussions; after class, the three resource banks are jointly applied to extend learning and strengthen knowledge application. The results show that the proposed model enhances student engagement, improves case analysis ability, and promotes the cultivation of rule awareness, contractual spirit, and professional competence. This study provides a practical reference for smart course development in application-oriented business and trade programs.
