Purpose : The traditional market is a place that has long been the central hub of the local community and economy. The decline of traditional market is serious in that it may cause decline of the entire region, not just that of some economic facilities. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to identify the factors constituting market revitalization and presents basic data for related policies in the future by deriving the importance and priority of factors related to revitalization of the traditional market and analyzing the factors related to growth of the traditional market business. Research design, data, and methodology : As a non-face-to-face alternative to brainstorming, a total of two open online sessions and one AHP were performed from April 14 to May 31, 2022 in 30 associated experts including the head of the Specialized Market Business Unit under Small Enterprise and Market Service, traditional market management consultant, and public officials. Based on the collected data, the difference in importance between each factor was analyzed. Results : It was found that, for the revitalization of the traditional market business, the content & service design factor was relatively more important than the commercial infrastructure & infrastructure factor and the humanware factor. In addition, the combined weight of the elements of the upper and lower hierarchies was the highest in the marketing factor, which was followed by digital factor and human capital enhancement factor, where the importance of marketing factor was significantly higher than that of other factors. Implications : The results of this study showed that the importance of infrastructure and infrastructure, which have been considered the most important in the revitalization of the traditional market business, has decreased, and the importance of specialized environmental factors has increased.
