We present a refined stratified sampling method for the numerical simulation of a recently introduced random field model for the reconstruction of inhomogeneous turbulence from characteristic flow quantities. The refinement concerns the generation of random wave vectors and allows for an improved accuracy of the simulated fluctuation field.
