Abstract This research studies the contribution of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan in molding autonomous economic development in India from the sectoral and policy point of view. Started in 2020 the program has the purpose of increasing national manufacturing decreasing import dependency and raising worldwide competition. The study examines the performance of the major sectors-agriculture industry and services-and the overall impact of the prominent policy interventions including MSME support export promotion and investment interventions. The research is grounded on secondary data Retrieved mainly from government reports, economic surveys and international database of data of recent years. A mixed conceptual methodology is used, supported by statistical instruments such as the descriptive analysis of the variables and multiple linear regressions to analyze the association between the economic growth and some variables as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) generation of employment, exports, imports, agricultural output and gross investment. The research result shows that the production domestically, formation of the capital and the export growth exert a positive and: significant; impact on GDP while high import dependence and unemployment have a negative impact on the economic performance. The findings indicate that atmanirbhar Bharat policies have laid the conditions for self-reliance mainly by assisting for MSMEs and stimulating indigenous industries. Nonetheless, the study notes that structural incoherence sectoral development disparity and external reliance are still there. The report says sustainable self-reliant economic growth can be achieved through a harmonised sectoral development and policy framework based on the effective implementation of policies and integration of the global economy.
