This contribution is the editio princeps of a Neo Babylonian cuneiform manuscript (Sippar 8, 225/ = IM 132543) discovered in the so-called Sippar Library and originally inscribed with the first four sections of the Sumerian balag̃-composition “a gal-gal buru14 su-su,” “Immense water drowning the harvest crop,” which addresses the god Nergal.
