Spiritual and moral values as elements 
of Russia’s national security

The article presents an analysis of the concept of spiritual and moral values and the policy of the state to strengthen them as the most important direction in the preservation of Russian statehood. The main purpose of the study was to consider spiritual and moral values as the main element of national security. Through the prism of national interests and security, the role of values in confrontation with the Western world and in ensuring the stable development of the country is emphasized, and the need to strengthen the moral foundations of Russian society during the escalation of the military conflict is proved. Special attention is paid to the process of formation of all-Russian values in historical retrospect and it is shown by virtue of which circumstances the state has acted as their regulator in modern conditions. The research methodology is based on a systemic and structural approach, which proves that values are not only a component of state security, but also one of the main pillars, the elimination of which leads to the death of the country. In accordance with the methods of legal and comparative political science, the author has grouped values and identified the consequences of decisions that continue to negatively affect the consolidation of society. The content analysis method made it possible to form threats that undermine the national security of the state. It is noted that in order to counteract them, it is necessary to use a systematic approach combining legal and political means. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the author's proposal to introduce the term "spiritual and moral immunity of society" into scientific use, the practical significance lies in the need to develop proposals for its formation. It is concluded that the concept of values should not only become the basis of the spiritual and moral immunity of society, but also a strategic resource for national security. There is also a need to strengthen state information policy and educational activities in the context of global challenges facing Russia.
