LegalLens addresses the lack of integrated and accessible legal workflow support for Indian users, where legal assistance, document handling, evidence management, and lawyer coordination are often fragmented across multiple platforms. The platform aims to simplify early-stage legal preparation and improve workflow continuity in the Indian legal-tech context. LegalLens is an AI-driven legal assistance platform built on a monolithic FastAPI architecture with role-based access for users, lawyers, and administrators. It combines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) based legal chat, AI-powered document risk analysis, template-driven drafting, planning utilities, and a secure evidence vault with SHA-256 integrity verification and audit logging. The system integrates PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Pinecone, and Cloudflare R2 to support transactional storage, semantic retrieval, and secure evidence management. The paper’s main contribution is the implementation of a unified, role-aware legal workflow architecture that integrates AI services, operational controls, and professional workflows within a single deployable system. Evaluation highlights workflow continuity, reliability mechanisms, and secure evidence handling while identifying future improvements in citation transparency and benchmarking.
