This deliverable considers the practitioners’ gaps and needs as identified thus far through the CYCLOPES project and views them through a policy lens. Firstly, we discuss commonalities between the EU policy environment and the topics explored through the CYCLOPES workshops, identifying synergies and complementarities. Secondly, we take the publicly available gaps and needs identified across the five pillars of technology, process, people, organization and legal and highlight where these align with forthcoming and proposed policy actions and where further investment may be required to better support practitioners. Finally, we look to the future at emerging topics from the policy environment, CYCLOPES and upcoming research topics to guide potential uptake of the outcomes of CYCLOPES as well as potential new areas for the project to consider.
