Abstract

Most of the code has not changed since version 1 (the version for the first draft of the manuscript; https: //doi. org/10. 5281/zenodo. 16761350), so in this version, we only uploaded the code that has changed. WaveSpeedAmplitude₃00hPa. ncl is the code for calculating our wave speed and amplitude metrics. We also provided wave amplitude and speed data based on ERA5 data at 500 and 300 hPa from 1978 to 2025 for Z1-6 (WaveSpeedAmplitude₆wavenumbers. zip). In the Plot. zip file, you can find all the code for generating the figures in the main paper and the supplement. The PDF. zip file contains the data and codes needed to plot Fig. 4 in the paper.
