Fifty-four trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potentially archaeological features investigated by hand. The evaluation demonstrated that the site contained features of Medieval and Post Medieval dates. A network of ditches, gullies and pits was recorded, many of which correspond to field boundaries and trackways shown on early cartographic sources
