The works comprised approximately 5.5ha of magnetometer survey. Probable natural variation in the underlying soils and geology has been detected across the site. Traces of former ridge and furrow cultivation have been detected in Area 3. Former field boundaries, as show on historic Ordnance Survey editions, have been detected across the proposed development area. Features almost certainly reflecting former mining activity have been identified. Modern agricultural regimes and land drains have been detected, along with a possible buried utility.
