Environmental sustainability has become one of the most important educational concerns in the twenty-first century due to increasing ecological degradation, climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. Schools play a crucial role in developing environmentally responsible attitudes and sustainable behavior among students (UNESCO, 2021). In this context, environmental clubs organized and guided by head masters have emerged as effective platforms for promoting environmental awareness, participatory learning, and ecosystem management within school settings (Tilbury, 2019). The present study explores the impact of head master-led environmental clubs on students’ environmental attitudes, eco-conscious behavior, and school ecosystem management practices. The study examines how educational leadership influences environmental participation through activities such as tree plantation, waste management, cleanliness drives, biodiversity conservation, water preservation, and eco-club campaigns (Government of India, 2020). The study also investigates the contribution of environmental clubs toward creating sustainable school environments and strengthening students’ environmental responsibility. A qualitative and descriptive research approach has been adopted using interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that active leadership and guidance of head masters significantly enhance students’ environmental sensitivity, collective participation, and sustainable school practices (Bush, 2020). The study concludes that environmental clubs can become transformative educational spaces for developing eco-conscious learners and promoting sustainable educational culture in schools.
