This paper proceeds from three physical principles—Neutralization Destiny, Electrochemical Lift, and the Electrochemical Counter-Neutralization Steady State—to deduce all the inevitable characteristics of the brain. The brain is the physical region with the densest low-resistance pathways left by charge flow. From the primitive vesicle itself, through multicellular organisms, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, to humans, all are the passive expansion of dense nodes and the passive solidification of low-resistance pathways under physical constraints. Memory is not a function of the brain; memory is the physical trace left on the carbon-based carrier by the tug-of-war itself—short-term memory etched on the membrane, long-term memory etched on DNA. The brain is the region with the densest low-resistance pathways; memory is the low-resistance pathways themselves. Power on, tug-of-war occurs, the brain forms, memory is etched, evolution advances. Power off, tug-of-war ceases, the brain disintegrates, memory dissipates, evolution terminates.
