Thirty-two trenches were opened mechanically under archaeological supervision and potential archaeological features investigated by hand. The only features recorded were two undated ditches and one ditch that was still present on maps into the mid 20th century. A single sherd of medieval pottery and two fragments of post-medieval brick and tile were the only finds.
