This paper explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education, focusing on its opportunities, challenges, and future scope. AI is increasingly transforming traditional teaching and learning methods through adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring platforms, automated assessment tools, and virtual assistants. These technologies enable personalized learning experiences by analyzing student performance and providing real-time feedback. The study adopts a qualitative review approach based on existing research papers, reports, and academic articles. It highlights key benefits of AI in education, such as improved accessibility, reduced teacher workload, enhanced student engagement, and efficient evaluation systems. However, it also identifies significant challenges including data privacy concerns, unequal access to technology, lack of emotional intelligence in AI systems, and over-reliance on automated tools. The paper concludes that Artificial Intelligence should be integrated into education as a supportive tool rather than a replacement for human educators. Ethical implementation, policy development, and equitable access are essential for ensuring that AI contributes positively to inclusive and effective learning environments in the future.
