The Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt exhausted the entire civilization’s manpower, mineral resources and grain reserves to build pyramids. Constrained by the cognitive limitations of their era, the ancient Egyptians pinned all hopes for civilization’s survival on grand fantasies that transcended objective laws, eventually collapsing due to resource depletion and the breakdown of people’s livelihood foundations. Today, Elon Musk regards permanent Mars colonization and interstellar escape out of the Solar System as his ultimate blueprint, pouring massive capital and industrial resources into Starship and deep-space exploration projects. While this vision of space exploration drives iterative progress in aerospace technology, it suffers from a fundamental cognitive blind spot: ignorance of the closed-loop cosmic cycle law at the core of the Theory of Light Origin. According to this unified theory, all cosmic matter, energy, celestial bodies, life and man-made creations derive from solidified primitive photon energy. Every entity has an inevitable fate of disintegrating back into pure photon energy to complete a full cycle. No matter or civilization can permanently break free from this recurring light cycle system. The notion of "permanently leaving Earth, escaping the Solar System and building an independent extraterrestrial civilization" is an illusion that violates the closed-loop fundamental rules of the universe. Meanwhile, human consciousness is not an independent existence transcending matter; it is merely a summary and generalization of laws formed by the movement of matter following physical rules derived from light. No subjective fantasy can break the underlying recurring cycle rules of the cosmos. Taking the rise and fall of ancient Egyptian pyramids as a historical mirror, this paper integrates three perspectives: fundamental physics, civilization history and cognitive philosophy. Based on the closed-loop logic of the Theory of Light Origin, it conducts a dialectical analysis: scientific and technological exploration deserves encouragement, yet human development must set objective boundaries. Humanity must not exhaust global resources chasing unattainable ultimate escape fantasies, and we must guard against repeating the collapse of ancient civilizations driven by single-minded grand obsessions. Combining macro research across physics, history and philosophy, this text is archived as a rational warning for the long-term future of human civilization.
