Science is often described as a progressive approximation to reality, yet no general principle explains why independently developed theories, cultures, or intelligent systems repeatedly converge toward compatible descriptions of the world. This paper proposes the Variational Principle of Structural Stability (VPSS), establishing that any sufficiently stable process of rational correction tends to converge toward the admissible structural constraints of reality. By treating reality not as a collection of objects but as a domain of admissible structures, the framework introduces the Structural Incoherence Functional (Iₛ) to measure representational inconsistency. We demonstrate that learning and system evolution operate via the minimization of this functional over time (dIₛdt 0), drifting toward a Structural Fixed Point (SFP) where further reduction of incoherence is bounded by the domain itself. VPSS unifies diverse phenomena—including scientific revolutions, engineering optimization, biological adaptation, and artificial intelligence learning—as iterative reductions of structural incompatibility with an external, non-derivable admissible domain (N₁), redefining truth not as semantic correspondence, but as the limiting state of maximal structural stability under interaction with reality.
