Abstract

Motivation: Support X-nuclear and vendor-neutral acquisitions for sharing and scanning across scanners and sites. Goal(s): Build a GE interpreter for X-nuclear acquisition using Pulseq framework; create a modular sequence that can support fast and flexible X-nuclear acquisition. Approach: X-nuclei capabilities were built into TOPPE GE interpreter. A modular 2D GRE spiral sequence was developed, integrating a flexible RF and readout module, and evaluated by both phantom and in-vivo studies. Results: Data from 31P, 2H, and 13C phantoms, multi-site 13C phantom, 2H-MRS brain volunteer, and hyperpolarized 1-13Cpyruvate animal studies demonstrated the feasibility, flexibility and reproducibility of the TOPPE MNS GE interpreter and modular spiral sequence. Impact: X-nuclear sequence developers can now more easily transfer their sequences across vendors and software for multi-site studies.
