The article examines modern approaches to military-patriotic education of youth through the example of the All-Russian public-state children’s and youth movement “Movement of the First”. The role of digital technologies (VR/AR, mobile applications, gamification) as effective communication tools is emphasized. The history of the movement’s establishment, its symbolism, and main areas of activity are analyzed. Special attention is paid to regional practices in the Republic of Bashkortostan, including the projects «First Aid», «ProeKTOriYA», «Vysota», as well as cultural memory initiatives such as «Windows of Victory». The significant influence of socio-cultural environment and traditions on the formation of patriotic identity is noted. The advantages of using interactive formats that ensure youth engagement are highlighted. Problematic areas are identified, including digital inequality and the need to adapt content. Recommendations for improving communication strategies are formulated.
