In the article, the author reviews discussion issues associated with application of Part 2 of Art. 14 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The importance of interpretative acts in the judicial practice, approaches towards interpretation of categories of the indicated criminal law provision, grounds for procedural rulings on criminal case termination in view of insignificance of an act are discussed from the standpoint of legal hermeneutics.
