The article aims to understand the governance of the Village Government in improving public services in Kalidawir Village, Tanggulangin District. The problem focuses on the implementation of village government governance. In order to approach this problem, theoretical references from good governance are used. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation which were analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the Village Government in implementing the 4 pillars of good governance, namely accountability, transparency, openness and the rule of law, has generally gone well even though there are several shortcomings such as a lack of community participation in supporting government governance. In its implementation, there are several obstacles, namely resistance from bureaucracy, lack of technical capability of village officials, socio- cultural conditions, and lack of community awareness and education.
