Four borehole inspection pits were monitored during ground investigation works within the Chatsworth Estate. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were uncovered during the investigation. Alluvial clay and sands were encountered at 0.19-0.8 m below ground level. These were overlaid by topsoil comprising silty clay.
