This study explores emotional distress in adolescence within a Mexican upper secondary school context, combining quantitative screening with qualitative student perspectives. By analyzing depressive symptom indicators alongside perceived family support and help-seeking-related coping, it provides a contextual picture of risk and protection factors in everyday school life. Findings are intended to support stronger early detection and support coordination for students.
