The purpose of this project is to support new graduate registered nurses (NGRNs) through individualized mentorship to enhance confidence, professional growth, and retention. A Transition Coaching Program led by NPDPs provides structured support across a health care system. Retention reached 88%–93%, with 84% of NGRNs reporting a positive first-year experience. The program effectively eases transition shock, fosters professional identity, and strengthens the nursing workforce.
