This paper aims to provide a reflection of the research I conducted in the first four years of my time as an English Discussion Class (EDC) instructor.Each year's professional development research project is explained and summarized to give a broad overview of the different second language (L2) teaching aspects focused on in my teaching practices.In addition, a personal reflection is provided based on whether or not any teaching principles changed by the end of my five-year career at Rikkyo University.
