Does sacubitril/valsartan reduce NT-proBNP compared to valsartan in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction?
Sacubitril/valsartan consistently reduces the biomarker NT-proBNP in patients with HFpEF, regardless of sex or baseline ejection fraction.
Baseline NT-proBNP predicted HF events but did not modify the sacubitril/valsartan treatment effect in patients with HFpEF. Sacubitril/valsartan reduced NT-proBNP consistently in men and women, and in patients with lower or higher EF.
