Effective functioning of business organizations requires improvement of management mechanisms, taking into account dynamically changing market conditions. The inconsistency of management systems with modern requirements is manifested through the low effectiveness of decisions made and blurred areas of staff responsibility. The structural disadvantages of the organizational structure of companies are expressed in the duplication of functions between departments and the irrational distribution of authority among employees. The imbalance between the responsibilities and rights of performers significantly reduces the quality of the tasks set and makes it difficult to achieve strategic business development goals. All this has predetermined the need to study the current state of the management consulting market in the Russian Federation as one of the tools contributing to the optimization of appropriate management decision-making in organizations.
