An archaeological watching brief was due to be undertaken in order to fulfil a condition of planning permission relating to the construction of extensions on the north-eastern and south-western sides of the existing cottage. However, the groundworks were erroneously carried out without archaeological monitoring. A site visit was conducted to inspect the groundworks already undertaken. No significant archaeological remains or deposits were visible.
