Morten Bækgaard Thomsen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. He has studied cardiac electrophysiology since 2001, completing PhD studies in the Netherlands on cardiac hypertrophy and arrhythmias. He leads a research group investigating how lifestyle and disease affect cardiac electrophysiology, with prior work at Columbia University.
