Seth W. Holwerda, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he directs the Kansas Neural Cardiovascular Control Laboratory and holds a joint appointment in Cell Biology and Physiology. He completed a Ph.D. in Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Missouri and an NIH-supported postdoctoral fellowship in vascular physiology at the University of Iowa. His laboratory studies sympathetic neural control of blood pressure, obesity-related hypertension, and autonomic dysfunction.
