Traditional bureaucratic systems, based on the ideas of Max Weber, are facing difficulties in dealing with the rapidly changing world of the 21st century. This is because of fast-paced technological advancements and the changing expectations of citizens. This research suggests that “agile governance” – a way of managing things that focuses on flexibility, teamwork, and putting citizens first – offers a better approach. We used detailed case studies from Estonia, New Zealand, and Singapore, along with a review of existing research, to show how agile governance can make government more responsive and innovative. We found that it can lead to quicker and more effective solutions. However, we also looked at some hurdles, such as resistance to change within the government and strict laws that can make it hard to implement agile methods. We offer suggestions on how to use agile governance effectively while considering these challenges. In conclusion, agile governance is a promising way to modernize government administration. However, we need more research to find the best ways to use it effectively in different situations.
