The most common ixodid tick species in the Kursk region is D. reticulatus (57 %), while I. ricinus ranks second in the total proportion of collections (43 %). The proportion of ticks that carry borreliosis, anaplasma, and ehrlichia does not exceed 20 %. Borreliosis is the most common disease, and the percentage of infected ticks ranges from 8,5 % to 13,7 %.
