Fennex Ltd, founded in 2016 by UK energy sector leaders, aims to enhance health and safety management with innovative digital solutions using cloud-based computing. Their Behaviour Based Safety Solution (BBSS™) automates safety observation recording from oil rig workers, offering real-time, centralized online reporting and facilitating timely corrective actions to reduce hazards and improve the work environment. Additionally, the Event Reporting System (ERS) manages and reports unplanned safety events, ensuring immediate, structured responses, detailed root-cause investigations, and documentation to prevent escalation and mitigate future risks (Fennex Ltd, 2016). This paper uses extensive BBSS™ features and ERS labels datasets to explore safety dynamics in Noble Corporation's offshore oil and gas operations. By analysing the combined BBSS™ features and ERS labels, the study aims to (1) understand the complexity of safety dynamics in offshore operations and (2) identify behavioural factors that contribute to rig safety. Understanding these factors is crucial for enhancing anticipatory serviceability and accurately predicting hazards in offshore oil and gas operations and other industries.
